Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to learn by human pathogenic microorganisms and the importance. Characteristics of pathogenic microorganisms, isolation, and identification methods, and in their diseases epidemiology

2 Taxonomy and pathogenic micro-organisms of humans,
3 General characteristics of the genus Staphylococcus, and their diseases
4 Streptococcus - general characteristics of Enterococcus species and their diseases
5 The general characteristics of Gram-positive aerobic (with oxygen) (Bacillus) and anaerobic (without oxygen) (Clostridium) spore forming bacteria, and their disease
6 Properly shaped and irregular-shaped Gram-positive rods on the general characteristics, their diseases.
7 The general characteristics of Gram-positive rod-shaped and irregular bacteria, and their diseases.
8 Mid-term exam
9 The general characteristics of Nokardiyaform bacteria and Neisseriaceae, isolation and their diseases
10 The general characteristics Enterobacteriaceae
11 The general characteristics of Vibrionaceae, Aeromanodaceae, Plesiomonas, Pasteurellaceae

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation and discussion format. Besides the taught lecture, group presentations are to be prepared by the groups assigned and presented in a discussion session. In some weeks of the course, results of the homework given previously are discussed.
