Course Objective

The aim of this course is Tanzimat and II. Based on the sociology basic sociological exposition of the course is to text from the Constitutional Monarchy in Turkey.

1   To teach how Turkey's sociology is shaped by its unique historical conditions
2   To discuss the relationship between Ottoman-Turkish Modernization and sociology
3   To understand the development of sociology as a state science
4   To comprehend the relationship between civil society and state in sociology in the context of sociology
5   Understanding the change of the main topics of sociology in our country

The main works of the lecturer, the works of Hilmi Ziya Ülken, the works of Şerif Mardin can be written. The new Ottomans are their works related to the Young Turks.
