Course Objective

The objective of this course is to provide process of research in social sciences. The project motivates students and allows them to choose a topic that is both an extension of their Diploma studies and one which they have a personal interest in the maritime sector. It helps learners to become independent, reflective and self-evaluating.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to learn about the research process related to the subject determined by theirselves.
2   Students will be able to have interview techniques and skills with the public and private institutes and companies.
3   Students will be able to have the opportunity to collect comprehensive information about the sector which they want to work in the future
4   Students will be able to improve their business relations with the sector members.
5   Students will be able to have scienceethics when writing their projects.

8 Planning the methodology and the project content
9 Project research plan (sampling and data collection methods)
10 Conclusion of the project research step
11 Completing the writing process of the Project
12 Completing the writing process and submitting the draft project report to consultants
