Course Objective

The aim of the course is to develop an understanding of the issues that impinge on the management of computer technology systems and organizations, to provide an overview of the professional and issues arising in the use, implementation, operation and monitoring of such systems and organizations, and the key technology management skills required in their effective utilization and operation.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have an understanding of a sensitive appreciation of the key professional, management issues
2   Be able to access the appropriate technical, professional, business and computer technology literature
3   Have a knowledge of managing technology project and managing the risk
4   Be able to construct simple models of such systems and organizations
5   Analyze the current infrastructure of the technology
6   Develop new models to improve the technological level based on requirements and evaluate the applicability of new models through feasibility studies
