Course Objective

The aim of the course is to raise awareness on the functioning of multilingual document flow in the EU and help the students to translate taking into account the textual and paratextual elements of EU texts.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Know the language and translation policies of the EU.
2   Know the features of texts used in different institutions of the EU.
3   Know athe terminology used within the EU.
4   Know the methods to be used in the translation of EU texts.
5   Know the reference books and texts used in the translation of EU texts
