Course Objective

The aim of this course is teaching the drilling machines, drilling equipments, shaft tests and drilling mud.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   May define the basic concepts of the foundation drilling.
2   May specify the all properties of the foundation drilling tool series.
3   May run the foundation drilling machine.
4   May apply the drilling works about ground survey.
5   May sort the features of drilling mud which is used in foundation drilling
6   May program the relevant foundation drilling.

8 Barrels, barrel varieties and their working principles, Protkorons and kecirs
9 Properties of the bit diamonds
10 Bits and classification of bits
11 Casing and their application areas
12 Properties of wire-line, wire-line varieties and their working principles
13 Wire-line barrels
14 The other equipments which are used and applied in core drilling

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

This lecture is going to make with theoretical courses in class, laboratory works and field trips. Instructor is going to teach the lessons with slide shows, create a discussion area with question and answer method with students and make laboratory works on specific subjects.
