Course Objective

The objective of this course is to develop computer literacy and competency by introducing fundamentals of computer systems and some software tools

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will be able to describe the essentials of computer systems
2   Students will be able to explain how data is being processed, stored,retrieved and displayed
3   Students will be able to explain how data retrieved and displayed
4   Students will be able to learn knowledge on the Internet, the Web, online services and e-mail
5   Students will be able to learn knowledge online services and e-mail
6   Students will be able to discuss the basics of word processing, gain proficiency in editing and formatting a document
