To apprehend the organizational and functional characteristics of the state organization.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have literature and concept knowledge about the basic elements of Ottoman civilization
2   To learn the historical background and development of Ottoman civilization
3   To be able to understand Ottoman culture and civilization in the cause-effect relation
4   To learn Ottoman administrative, military, social, economic and cultural structure
5   To be able to comparisons between Ottoman and european culture
