Course Objective

To understand general characteristics of literature rising in Ottoman area in the 18th and 19th centuries, and to analyze and interpret major poets and their works.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Can place the 18th and 19th centuries in historical progress of the whole Classical Turkish Literature
2   Can distinguish main characteristics and variable structure of the 18th and 19th centuries.
3   Can enumerate major poets and their works
4   Be able to analyz and comment texts.
