Course Objective

The aim of this cours eis to visit and learn the cultur and art places of Izmir and near environment like museums, archaeological sites, private collections, art galleries etc.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students learn by field trips to archaeological or excavation sites in Izmir and the Aegean region
2   Students learn by museum visits to archaeological museums in Izmir and the Aegean region.
3   Students learn by field trips to art exhibitions, art galleries and open air art centers in Izmir and the Aegean region
4   Students learn by field trips to mines, wetland, geographical formations in Izmir and the Aegean region different museum and open air settings
5   Students learn by museum visits to thematic museums, City archives museums and etnographic exhibitions.

Presentations with visual materials and graphics. Summaries are also included in the presentations. Related texts and handouts will be distributed. Related bibliography (books, journals and magazines) will be announced. If required, field trips and museum visits will be organized.
