Course Objective

It is aimed to evaluate development of strategies and in disaster and emergency administration historically. Also effectiveness of changes in organisational structure will be evaluated by the means of contemporary disaster administration. Administrative functions (from planning to budgeting) of disaster and emergency administration and related organisational structures with best applications all over the world will be compared. Relation of current organisations and legal arrangements will be evaluated to produce analytical solutions. And also it will be evaluated by the wiev of general problems about disaster and emergency administration.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to learn the development of organisational structures about disaster and emergency administration in Turkey
2   Be able to conceive the importance of volunteers in disaster and emergency administration and to create awareness in community
3   Be able to determine the responsibilites of central and local governments in disaster and emergency administration and to make recomendations.
4   Be able to develop a comparative analysis about current organisation in Turkey by knowing the best applications all over the world.
