Course Objective

To define the basic anatomic features of the organs and structures of the nervous system in the human body and emphasize their functional properties from a clinical viewpoint.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have general knowledge about the layout and organization of the nervous system in the human body
2   To be able to define the structures and functional characteristics of the central nervous system
3   To be able to define the structures and functional characteristics of the peripheral nervous system
4   To be able to define the structures of the nervous system which play a determinant role in the development of sleep and consciousness
