Course Objective

the objective is this course is to explain experimental design techniques which are used for improvement of design quality and became a milestone thanks to japanise quality guru Genichi Taguchi.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   to be able to design experiments in product/process design.
2   to be able to analyze statistically the results of experiments.
3   to be able to optimize the process according to the results of the experiment.
4   to know experimental design methods proposed by Taguchi.
5   to know Taguchi's loss function concept.
