Course Objective

The aim of the course is to comprehend the social psychological mechanisms of in and inter group behaviors, and to introduce the basic concepts such as prejudice and discrimination.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To understand the social psychological bases of ingroup and intergroup processes
2   To discuss the similarities and the differencess between the processes of smale and large scale social groups
3   To evaluate the main theories related to groups
4   To comprehend the social psychological sides of real world phenomena such as prejudice and discrimination
5   To discuss the role of social psychology in prevention of real world problems such as prejudice and discrimination
6   To plan and conduct social psychological research on group dymamics
