Course Objective

The aim of this course is to comprehend the historical and social roots of social psychological theories and approaches and discussions between them.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To recognize the social and historical background of current social psychological theories 2   To comprehend the basic debate issues in the dicipline based on their historical development 3   To infere the philosophical roots of current theories 4   To discuss the relationship between social psychology and the other related social disciplines 5   To compare the views of the dominant and critical paradigm in social psychology. 6   To criticize racist, sexist and all kinds of discriminatory policies in social psychological analysis.
