Course Objective

To understand the solutions of disputes that may arise when making collective bargaining agreements between workers and employers within the framework of law and judicial decisions.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define the concepts of "individual labor dispute", "collective labor dispute", "rights and interests dispute".
2   To be able to comprehend the development process of legislation by examining the development of legislation related to collective bargaining agreement, mediation, strike and lockout.
3   Ability to create solutions to problems that can be encountered in the field of collective relations with examples in law application.
4   To be able to explain the use of legal strike and lockout rights.
5   The ability to indicate the difference between a dispute of rights and a dispute of interest; the ability to identify the development of the mediation process.

2 Definition,content, scope and level of collective labour agreement
3 Scope and form of the Collective Labour Agreement
4 Rules, duration and expiration of the Collective Labour Agreement
5 Employer's commitment to collective labour agreement and implementation of collective labour agreement in terms of individuals.
6 Establishment of collective labor agreement; determination of authority and objection to determination of authority
7 Mid-term exam
8 Collective bargaining phase and signing of collective labor agreement
9 Disclosure of collective labour agreement
10 Collective bargaining dispute and mediation
11 The concepts of strikes and lockouts (Legal and illegal strikes and lockouts)
12 Strike procedure, strike bans and postponement
13 Consequences of illegal strikes and lockouts
14 Supreme Arbitration Board
