Course Objective

To provide those, who will intervene in cases of accident and injury, with first aid training and playing a determining role in maintenance of life, injury prevention and shortening the healing process.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To explaine the general concepts of first aid.
2   To identify the basic life support
3   To gain the ability to apply external cardiac massage and artificial respiration
4   To know the types of injuries
5   To implement emergency handling techniques
6   To know and apply techniques for placement on stretcher
7   To explain to move injured people in the car

9 First aid in case of disorders of consciousness
10 First aid in case of poisoning
11 First aid for a foreign object in ear, nose an eye
12 First aid in case of burning, freezing an hot shocks
13 First aid in suffocation
14 The carrying techniques of patient/wounded

It is calculated by taking 40% of Midterm exam, 60% of the final exam success rating.

Assessment Criteria

The understanding degree of students to 7 learning outputs is evaluated by midterm and final exams.
