Course Objective

To give basic informations about disaster management and planning
To provide a general framework for the regulation of disaster management
To give information about disaster events in Turkey
To provide assessmentsof disaster management in Turkey
To introduce relating to disaster management agencies

2   To Interpret the legal arrangements for disaster management
3   To Learn the elements of disaster management.
4   To develop pre-disaster education and awareness projects.
5   To have information about the measures to be taken before and after disaster.
6   To evaluate the activities of the local and central agencies on disaster management

The understanding degree of students to 6 learning outputs is evaluated by midterm and final exams.
