Course Objective

The aim of this course is that the students gaining necessary knowledge to recognize the patterns of gender inequality in the production processes of art and works.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of this course, the students
2   1. will learn the basic concepts of art,
3   2. will grasp the main contexts of discussion and analysis regarding the relationship between art and gender,
4   3. will learn the pespective and transformations brought by feminist criticism to art,
5   4. will be able to discuss the main topics of discussion of gender and feminism (motherhood, fatherhood, social roles, women's movement, gaze, language, business life, public space, body, etc.) through works of art,
6   5. and they also will gain the ability to read and discuss work of art from the perspective of feminist methodology.

2. All kinds of palagiarism and attept of palagiarism shall be concluded by disciplinary punishment
3. Students supposed to read the materials before lecture and participate the classroom discussions
4. Students are expected to make presentations about the subjects given by the lecturer.
