Course Objective

This class intends to analyze the events and facts that make up the agenda in the field of culture and art with a critical approach, evaluate them in the context of sociological developments and contemporary thought movements, and position them with the help of publications and documents that have been made.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   comprehend the process of analysis with regard to cultural and art events as a problem of consciousness and awareness.
2   embrace the consistency of approach of analyzing cultural and art events through signs as a fact of visual culture.
3   witness that analysis and critism of cultural and art events can be analysed by connected processes within the boundaries of a sequenced logic.
4   know that the historical, cultural and political data about the development of societies and art will help us reach a clearer identification of a work of art.
5   see that a better context for production of meaning will be provided through the appropriate use of information about the work of art, the artist and the viewer.
