Course Objective

The Sculpture Art has questioned its existence in the face of the modernist experience, and the answers of these questions have been the beginning of a continuous and rapid morphological change. The lesson of Sculpture As Object aims to analyze and comment the role undertaken by the sculpture art beginning from the process of starting to live Modernism to the 1950 in the contemporary art environment and the transformation it has undergone based upon the certain artists and works.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to define the modernism phenomenon within the scope of the sculpture art.
2   To be able to evaluate the modernism phenomenon within the framework of the Turkish art.
3   To be able to analyze the discussions developing around the sculpture art within the scope of the modernism concept.
4   To reach the current resources with respect to the issue and to be able to evaluate them
5   To be able to correlate the artistic studies and accumulation with the issue
