Course Objective

The aim of the course is to examine and discuss the principle of fair trial, one of the basic principles of criminal procedure, within the framework of Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights and the decisions of the ECHR.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to disert the elemants of the fair trail principle
2   Being able to evaluate the articles of the code of criminal procedure ralating to the fair trail principle
3   Being able to comprehend the international aspects of the fair trail principle
4   Being able to understand how the fair trail principle important for the human rights law
5   Being able to know about the domestic and international concequences of the breach of the fair trail principles

8 The analysation of the rights of the suspect and the accused in light of recent cases and record

10 Right to Informed promptly of the nature and the accusation and the practise in our system
11 Right to express and to defend and the practices
12 Right to ask questions and to have an assistance of the interpreter and the criminal procedure
