Course Objective

To teach and explain Structure and Function of the Field of Human Rights Organizations and Committees in Turkey

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To define the area of human rights
2   To distinguish between the basic concepts and approaches in the field of human rights.
3   To compare Structure and Function of the Field of Human Rights Organizations and Committees in Turkey by the right to petition, the right to information and the exercise of the right way to contact the ombudsman
4   To examine in comparison with the similar organs, agencies, and committees in the UN, the Council of Europe and the EU Law formation and duties; the existence and application of the principles of Paris on the establishment and functioning of institutions and committees in Turkey
5   To reveal contribution of organizations and committees to the protection and promotion of human rights and judicial control of administration

7 The State Audit Board
8 Mid-term exam
9 Exercise of the right to contact the ombudsman
10 Prime Ministry Human Rights Presidency
11 Human Rights Advisory Board
12 Human Rights Council and the Paris Principles, Provincial and district human rights committees.
13 Comparison with the similar organs, agencies, and committees in the UN, the Council of Europe and the EU Law formation and duties
14 Examinating contribution of the protection and promotion of human rights and judicial review of organizations and committees in the field of human rights in Turkey
