Course Objective

The purpose of this lecture is to analyze the role of the criminal law in protecting
the fundamental rights.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to possess advanced level of the main principles of the human rights law and the human rights jurisdiction
2   Being able to approach the fundemental rights and the freedoms and their relations with the criminal law in the historical development
3   Being able to evaluate the fundamental rights and the freedooms within the frame of the criminal law
4   Being able to analyze the idea of human rights in the domestic and the international community
5   Being able to discuss the cases and the preferences according to the interference to the fundamental rights and the freedoms with the criminal law instruments

2 The problems arising from the application of the protection measures
3 Right to life and its relation with the criminal law
4 Immunity , freedom, security and its relation with the criminal law
5 The right to health and its relation with the criminal law
6 Right to education and its relation with the criminal law

8 Right to private life and right to the inviolability of domicile and its relation with the criminal law
9 Right to vote and stand for an election and its relation with the criminal law
10 Prohibition of forced labour and its relation with the criminal law
11 Freedom of information and its relation with the criminal law
12 Freedom of thought and faith and its relation with the criminal law
13 Right to expression and its relation with the criminal law
14 Congregate and demonstrate and its relation with the criminal law
