Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine main issues in social psychology such as research methods used in social psychology, social perception, social cognition, attribution, the self, social influence, attitudes, attitude change.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to define basic concepts related to social psychology.
2   Being able to explain research methods used by social psychologists.
3   Being able to give examples in relation to basic concepts in social psychology.
4   Being able to describe the relationships of social psychology with different subfields of psychology.
5   Being able to pursue current research in social psychology.
6   Being able to understand basic theoretical approaches in social psychology
