Course Objective

In this course, basic concepts and principles of cognitive behavioural theory and psychotherapy approach belongs to this theory will be introduced; topics including cognitive behavioural assessment, case conceptualization, structuring the first and subsequent interviews, techniques utilized in the identification and modification of automatic thoughts, intermediate beliefs and core beliefs, termination of treatment and relapse prevention will be covered. The theoretical knowledge will be supported with the help of case examples.

2   2. Being able to constitute cognitive behavioral assessment plan and formulation
3   3. Being able to plan the structure of the first and following interviews
4   4. Being able to define techniques to be used in identifying and modifying cognitions
5   5. Being able to define techniques to be used in identifying and modifying behaviors
6   6. Being able to define preparations for termination and relapse prevention
