Course Objective

In this course, basic concepts and principles of various contemporary psychotherapy approaches will be explained, as psychological assessment, case formulation, explanations of personality and psychopathology, basic therapeutic techniques and case analysis dervied from these approaches will be examined. Moreover, these information will be further processed via theoretical knowledge, case examples and hypothetical administrations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Be able to explain basic principles and concepts of various psychotherapies
2   Be able to describe characteristics of psychological assessment and case formulation of various psychotherapies
3   Be able to explain personality and psychopathology views of various psychotherapies
4   Be able to describe basic features of aims, role of therapists and relationship of various psychotherapies
5   Be able to exemplify various psychotherapies in cases
6   Be able to explain critiques of various psychotherapies from different perspectives
