Course Objective |
The main approach of the course is associated with the examination of neurobiological basis of brain disorders and research results within a contemporary frame. Lectures will cover the brain and nervous system related to brain disorders such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, bipolar disorder, addictive disorders, schizophrenia, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), Alzheimer's disease and dementia. The course also covers basic neuroanatomy, neurodevelopment, mechanisms of neural communication, research methodologies and neuroethics within the field of neurobiology. |

Assessment Criteria |
In total, two exams and one homework/ presentation will be conducted. There will be open-ended questions in the levels of information, comprehension, analysis, interpretation and synthesis for all exams. |
