Course Objective

To help the student to recognize the structure, dynamics, flexibility and distinctive features of Islamic law.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Recognizes the legal aspects of Islam. Understands the perspective of events.
2   Recognizes Islamic law of person, family, inheritance, property, debts, constitution, penalties, jurisdiction and law of states.
3   Understands the relationship between Islamic law and contemporary law.
4   Realizes the values of Islamic law, learns the cultural formation and world view revealed.
5   Realizes the efficiency and flexibility of Islamic law. Can interpret the events in terms of Islamic Law.
