Course Objective

To provide information about the basic issues of Islamic Law Methodology; get to know the classical and modern literature of the field; to examine the issues used in the MAKING A Judgment; To carry out theoretical studies on the current aspects of the subject by considering different schools within the framework of the historical development of the discipline.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   The student will learn about the birth of Islamic Law Methodology, its periods and the development of schools.
2   The student will understand how the Islamic Law methodology emerged, what its sources are, and how Islamic Law was produced based on these sources.
3   The student will have the opportunity to understand whether the current Islamic provisions are correct in terms of Islamic Law Methodology.
4   The student will learn what method to follow in case of making a decision or making a choice between the provisions.
5   When asked about a legal issue, s/he will learn where to start in theory.
