Course Objective

To provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge in methods on understanding and interpretation, with using the knowledge and evaluate it.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students will learn main ideas of philosophers and schools on existence, knowledge etc. in the first era of the history of philosophy. 2   Will learn philosophers and general characteristics of the Ancient Greek era, of the Middle Ages Christian Philosophy, and of Islamic Philosophy. 3   Will identify philosophical characteristics of Renaissance era with its main figures and their ideas. 4   Will analyze philosophical characteristics of the Enlightment era with its main figures and their ideas 5   Will identify possible contributions and outcomes of the history of philosophy to the theology discipline and how to apply those contributions to the lives of students.
