Course Objective

The objective of this course is to introduce basic concepts and problems in Ancient philosophy and philosophical ideas and traditions in Ancient period.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of the course, the student will be able to know the philosophical problems in Ancient period and the solutions that are claimed to solve these problems by Ancient philosophers,
2   make connections between different philosophical ideas about the basic problems,
3   evaluate the views of philosophers,
4   adapt the problems and solutions in Ancient philosophy to his/her Age,
5   explain the basic problems and connections of different philosophical arguments and ideas in Ancient period to other people.
