Course Objective

The aim of this course is to examine major social psychology topics such as social psychological research methods, attitudes, attitude change, social influence, aggression, interpersonal attraction, attribution, group processes, gender related behaviors, prosocial behavior, group productivity, social identity, and intergroup relations.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Being able to define basic concepts related to social psychology.
2   Being able to explain social psychological research methods.
3   Being able to give examples in relation to basic concepts in social psychology.
4   Being able to describe the relationship of social psychology with different subfields of psychology.
5   Being able to pursue current research in social psychology.
