Course Objective

To teach the philosophy of Epicurus and the history of Epicurıanism.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To know the general line of the philosophy of Helenistic age.
2   The know the Stoic philosophy well.
3   To understand the general line of Sceptic philosophy
4   To read and analyse the original text by Epicurus.
5   To know basic texts of Epicurianism
6   To grasp the influence of Epicurianism on the contemporary philosophy.
