Course Objective

The objective of this course is to investigate the relationship between philosophy of art and aesthetics by focusing on the theories of aesthetics and art and their critique.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   At the end of the course, the student will be able to define the basic concepts of aesthetics,
2   Know the philosophy of art and its history,
3   Comprehend the relationship and difference between philosophy of art and aesthetics,
4   Describe the philosophy of art as a field of knowledge in philosophy and analyze different views on art,
5   Understand an art object on a aesthetic platform and evaluate his/her understanding.
