Course Objective


Course Objective
Objective of this course is primarily to provide information about fulfillment of the required provisions in international commercial relations and selection of the applicable law to those relations. International carriage of goods, incoterms, methods of payment in international sales of goods and dispute settlement in international commercial arrangements are some other issues within the scope of this course. Additionally multilateral international agreements governing issues mentioned above will be examined comprehensively in course s extent.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Students must have ability to decide and select the applicable law of (disputes deriving from the) International Commercial Contracts, to give information about principles of European Contract Law concerning international commercial contracts,
2   to specify generally International Commercial Institutions and their contribution to international law
3   to articulate methods of payment in international commerce and documents used in international trade law
4   to express information about potential international commercial disputes and settlement of those disputes
5   UNDROIT principles and United Nations Convention on Contracts for International Sales of Goods signed in Vienna in 1980
