Course Objective

Study of the construction of the building contract executed by and between the building contractor and the landowner, rights and obligations of the contractor, rights and obligations of the landowner, termination of the building contract and legal consequences related to termination, legal relations between the architect, landowner and contractor, legal relations between the landowner and subcontractors, characteristics of building contracts for flats, legal obligations of those who participate in building work.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Ability to produce solutions for disputes arising from building contract.
2   Ability to evaluate any scientific studies, court decrees and legislation about building contracts.
3   Ability to determine the building contract's relationship with other branches of law.
4   Ability to generate justified and critical opinion in Building Law.
5   Ability to improve learning, learning skills and critical thinking capability in Building Law
