Course Objective

This course aims to give a basic account of the intellectual currents which have strongly influenced literary and popular thought. It provides certain historical and intellectual materials to make students understand the leading figures in American literature.

1   To have knowledge about literary trends in American literature. 2   To make an analysis of American literary trends and schools with respect to selected literary works. 3   To be competent in textual analysis. 4   To be capable of using course s terminology. 5   To have critical approach.
