Course Objective

Objectives of this course are to know the strength and endurance and to learn the methods of application strength and endurance in volleyball

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To know basic motor skills of volleyball
2   To learn a general knowledge about the science of volleyball-specific training
3   The ability to strength, types (reaction, acceleration speed, maximum speed, Speed endurance), characteristics, methods, and to understand the physiological basis of volleyball, to prepare for examples of strength training in volleyball
4   To know plyometric training, characteristics, methods, and to understand the physiological basis of volleyball, to prepare for examples of plyometric training in volleyball
5   The ability to endurance, types, characteristics, methods, and to understand the physiological basis of volleyball, to prepare for examples of endurance training in volleyball

1 basic motor skills and ıts importance in volleyball
2 Watching a volleyball match and making comment about basic motor skills
3 Volleyball strength training examples (with medicine ball and pilates ball)
4 The names of resistance machines (in Turkish and English), move of muscles with resistance machines and the application principles
5 The name of muscules, Volleyball strength training examples (with resistance machines)
6 Commenting on articles written about volleyball
7 Maximal strength methods, the importance of training examples in volleyball
8 Mid Term
9 Explosive strength methods, the importance of training examples in volleyball
10 Plyometric training, methods, and physiological basis of volleyball, to prepare for examples of plyometric training
11 Endurance strength methods, the importance of training examples in volleyball
12 Description of endurance, the physiological basis of endurance, endurance types, endurance training samples to volleyball
13 Muscle group involved in endurance and muscle energy use periods and endurance training examples
14 Final
