Course Objective

It is aimed to gain knowledge and skills of planning and putting into practice in a safe way of aquatherapy program for elderly with different functional level and clinical findings

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Identify physiologic features of water and application methods in physiotherapy.
2   Know the changes occur in body systems with age and effects of aquatherapy of elderly.
3   Plan and put into practice aquatherapy program for elderly with different functional level and clinical findings.
4   Know indication and contraindication of aquatherapy for disorders common in elderly
5   Conduct risk management of aquatherapy in elderly.
