Course Objective

Provide knowledge on orthotics used in elderly. Types of orthotics, purpose of use, functional orthosis, actual applications and education.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Know the conditions that require the use of orthotics in elderly.
2   Identify upper extremity orthotics in elderly, summarize the design and usage principles.
3   Identify lower extremity orthotics in elderly, summarize the design and usage
4   Determine the orthosis design according to clinical condition of elderly.
5   Diversify orthosis in elderly according to clinical condition.
