Course Objective

To learn the scientific basis of manual therapy techniques, related mechanism, contraindications, indications and recent manual physiotherapy techniques.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Describes the manual techniques and their mechanisms used in the treatment of musculoskeletal system diseases
2   Knows and performs Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation techniques.
3   Knows and performs myofascial release techniques and trigger point therapy.
4   Knows and performs neural mobilization techniques and therapeutic massage.
5   Knows and performs lymphedema therapy.

4 Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Techniques (Upper extremity patterns)
5 Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Techniques (Upper extremity patterns)
6 Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Techniques (PNF techniques, Agonistic techniques)
7 Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Techniques (,Antagonistic techniques)
