Course Objective

This course aims to give necessary skills to write an academic essay.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to write topic sentences, supoorting details and concluding sentences. 2   To be able to write essays on some certain essay types. 3   To be able to collect information in order to use it in supplementary details. 4   To be able to organize the gathered information and the ideas in a suitable way. 5   To be able to make necessary corrections in accordance with the given feedback.

Drafting and portfolio techniques will be used. common features of essay types will be given by means of class discusiions, sample analysis and teacher explanations.
