Course Objective

To teach temporary care and non-pharmacological applications using available equipment at the injury site for the injured individual to save his life or prevent bad prognosis until the maintenance of health care professionals' aid in case of a life threatening condition.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Explains general first aid concepts, defines first aid. 2   Defines basic life support, knows the initial evaluation stages of the injured. 3   Explains first aid practices in cases of trauma, bleeding, fracture, shock, burn and freezing. 4   Knows the general rules of transportation procedures of injured person/patient.
