Course Objective

The aim of course is to learn the basic information tecniques such as to write text documents, prepare calculating tabulation and design efficient presentations.

1   Developing a ful understanding of the elemenst of the computer
2   Knowing how to prepare a comprehensive text documents bu using MsWord
3   Being able to make some calculations and related tables by using MsExcel
4   Being able to prepare an effective presentations by using MsPowerpoint

Course Contents

Week Subject Description
1 Introduction. Definition of computer, Its types, genrations, components, concepts of bit and byte
2 Introduction to MS Windows, Start Menu, Keyboard Short-cuts.
3 Word Processor Programs. Introduction to MS Word, Introducing of Menu, toolboxes, basic operations in MS Word: Writing, Editing Paragraphs.
4 MS Word: Enlisting and enumareting, multi level listing, adding figure.
5 MS Word: Page editing, page boarders, Margin spaces, Sheet sizes, Hyper link marks, Header/footer pane, page enumerating, Figurs and Graphs
6 Using Equation editor, tables, borders and shading, content table.
7 Mid-term
8 Introduction to MS Powerpoint, Introduction to powerpoint, introduction of menu, adding/deleting slide, adjusting main aspect, changing template desing, using printer.
9 Forming animation design, adding diagram-object-hyperlink-formula-word document, adjusting group line
10 Adding effects and voice, timing, act buttons
11 Introduction to MS Excel, Input data, deletion-correction-fomatting data, page adjustment, adding-deleting-rename of new sheet, introduction menus
12 Preparing spread sheets, input aqnd using formulas, filtering data, using lower sum.
13 Mathematical operations in MS Excel and formulation, comparison functions, logical operations, texture functions, fomula multiplication
14 Graphs with MS Excel, Its properties an graphs types and outline table.
