2 Types and characteristic of pain, peripheral mechanisms of nociception (inflammatory mediators etc.)
3 Development of pain pathways, representation of pain in the brain. Autonomic, Endocrine, and Immune Interactions in Acute and Chronic Pain
4 Visceral pain, inhibition of pain
5 Emotion, Motivation, Cognitive and Learning Aspects and Pain
6 Objective and subjective assessment of pain
7 Manipulative treatment in pain Therapeutic heat and cold in the management of pain, hydrotherapy Electrotherapy in the management of pain
8 Exercises in the management of pain

10 Coping with pain and the cognitive behavioral approach to pain management
