Course Objective

This course aims to teach fundamental object-oriented analysis and design techniques and show how decisions made during analysis and design impact the implementation of software systems.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be able to develop a working understanding of general object-oriented analysis and design processes.
2   To be able to analyze real world information systems and apply different methods.
3   To be able to describe how a system interacts with its environment.
4   To be able to know how to use UML for notation.

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation, and discussion format. Besides the taught lecture, group presentations are to be prepared by the groups assigned and presented in a discussion session. In some weeks of the course, the results of the homework given previously are discussed.
