Course Objective

This course will give general information about development of mobile applications using an Android operating system. Students will also be informed on usage of graphics and animation techniques, sensors, usage of Maps and GPS.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   Have ability to use graphical objects in mobile programming.
2   Have ability to use animation techniques in mobile programming.
3   Be capable to develop programs using sensors of mobile devices
4   Have ability to use GPS data and Google maps.
5   Be capable to develop mobile programs using service components

Planned Learning Activities and Teaching Methods

The course is taught in a lecture, class presentation and discussion format. Besides the taught lecture, group presentations are to be prepared by the groups assigned and presented in a discussion session. In some weeks of the course, results of the homework given previously are discussed.
