By reviewing the educational systems, curricula and teacher training models of different countries, students develop critical perspectives on educational issues.

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To have knowledge about the definition, scope and method of comparative education.
2   Raising awareness about the EU process and developments in international education.
3   Turkey and compares the Scandinavian countries the education system.
4   Recognize the education systems of Germany, Austria, Italy and France.
5   Analyze the Japan, Finland and Singapore Education System.
6   Compares Turkish and Spanish-Portuguese education systems.
7   Knows the American and British education systems, it compares with Turkey.
