Course Objective

It is aimed that Within the framework of statistical data to evaluate the elements of climate, mapping and interpretation of these data

Learning Outcomes of the Course Unit

1   To be distinguished to analised by statistical methods of micro- climatic areas
2   To be map the results obtained from calculations
3   To be interpret to the calculating results and maps.
4   To be determined micro-climatic areas by means of certain methods
5   To be known as a urban climate, thermal islands, synoptic maps and the topic of climatic exchanges.

3 The properties of climatologic data and methodology
4 Air pressure and winds/direction of prevailing winds
5 The air temperatures and data properties
6 The mapping of thermal data
7 Mapping method according to the lapse-rate
8 Mapping method according to the lapse-rate
9 The determine freezing events in the autumn- first freezing and spring- last freezing period
10 Influences of freezing events on the environment
11 The temperature differences between urban and rural areas
12 The temperature and humidity differences between dry and irrigating agricultural lands
13 Urban/head-island, the effects of settlement patterns
14 The effects of consumption and production of energy on the environment

The homeworks will be assessed by directly adding to the term work scores in semester. The exam dates will be indicated in the lesson plan. As the exam dates become definite, the previously announced dates may change.

1. It is obligated to continue to at least 70% of lessons .
2. Behaviours such as copying in exams, clashing and making intials in the publications will be concluded with the opening of a disciplinary investigation.
3. The instructor has right to make quizzes. The scores obtained from quizzes and term work scores will be directly added to exam scores.
